Lise Hérud developed a passion for design and a love of fabrics very early on, which initially led to working in costume ateliers and designing and making costumes for theatrical productions.

Soon followed years of formal training as a ladies pattern cutter and tailor in her native country Norway, where she learned the art of perfectly fitting garments and fine craftsmanship, before making the move to London and a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design at Ravensbourne College.

More than a decade later, after having developed a successful career working for London’s top couture houses including Catherine Walker, Tomasz Starzewski and Phillipa Lepley, and having firmly established her lifelong passion for couture, she decided the time had come to launch her own namesake label of couture and personal tailoring for both women and men.
